Carbon Poker Review
Carbon Poker is a sleek new online poker room that features soft cash games, easy tournaments, a hefty sign up bonus and the world’s largest bad beat jackpot. The bad beat jackpot at Carbon was recently hit for $1.2 million – making the largest bad beat jackpot in the history of the internet. If you haven’t yet had a chance to check out Carbon Poker, I strongly recommend you do soon.
Carbon Poker Bad Beat Jackpot
The current Carbon Poker Bad Beat Jackpot is at updating…
Carbon Poker was recently the home of the internet’s largest bad beat jackpot ever: $1.2 million. The winner of the big jackpot took home a very nice $417,396, the runner up got a little over $208,000 and every other player at the table got nearly $42,000 just for being there. Press Release
Here’s how the bad beat jackpot is paid out when it’s hit:
- 35% goes to the victim of the bad beat
- 17.5% goes to the winner of the hand
- 17.5% is split evenly among everyone else at the table
- 20% is used to seed the next jackpot
- 10% goes to the house
The losing hand must be at least 4 of a kind 7s or better to qualify and both players’ hole cards must be used. That means you won’t qualify for the jackpot if there are four 7s on the board and someone else wins the pot. You have to use both your hole cards for it to count.
If you’re really unlucky, the bad beat jackpot at Carbon Poker just might be the answer for you. While it won’t ease the pain of lesser bad beats, it will definitely come in handy when you receive the bad beat (or lucky break) of a lifetime.

Carbon Poker Bonus
When you sign up, you’ll get an exclusive $1,000 bonus that’s not available at the Carbon Poker website. All you have to do is sign up through one of the links on this page and use the code XXXX when making your first deposit at Carbon Poker.
This is a 100% match bonus so for every dollar you deposit, up to a maximum of $1,000, Carbon Poker will match it. The bonus is cleared very quickly at cash games but it takes slightly longer to clear it when playing in tournaments.
To clear the bonus, just earn 250 comp points per $1 in bonus money. Every time you earn $10 worth of bonus money, it’ll be moved from your bonus account to your real money account. This process will repeat continuously until you release the entire bonus.
Carbon Poker Rakeback
All players who signup and deposit through BadBeatJackpots.org will automatically qualify for 40% rakeback at Carbon Poker. Rakeback is paid automatically and added to your bankroll daily.
Cash Games
The cash games at Carbon Poker are softer than average. It’s not a huge site so the traffic can be sparse at the higher stakes, which is annoying if you play a lot of tables at a time but is nice if you don’t want to play against a bunch of multi-tablers.
The lower and middle stake cash games at Carbon Poker are alive and healthy, however, and you’ll find they are quite soft. Most of the serious multi-tabling professionals like to stick to bigger sites like Full Tilt and PokerStars.
Carbon has more game variants than just about any other poker site I’ve seen to date. You can play Texas Holdem, Omaha, 7 Card Stud, 5 Card Draw, 2-7 Triple Card Draw, A-5 Lowball, Badugi, 5 Card Stud, Razz, Omaha Hi-Lo and 7 Card Stud Hi-Lo.
The no limit games have stakes that range from $0.02/$0.04 ($4 buyin) to $50/$100 ($10,000 buyin). The fixed limit games start out at $0.10/$0.20 and go up to $50/$100.
Tournaments
The tournaments are also looking very healthy at Carbon Poker lately. There are a wide range of tournament types including freezeouts, rebuys, bounties, shootouts, sit-n-go’s and many more. The buyins range from absolutely free to several hundred dollars.
If you’d like to try your hand at the Satellite tournaments at Carbon, you can buy in for relatively cheap and win seats plus travel money to major live events. You can win a seat to the World Series of Poker Main Event, the Aussie Millions, the EPT London and more. All it takes is a small buyin and a couple hours of your time.
Customer Support
The customer support team at Carbon Poker is highly competent and has always responded quickly to my e-mails (in fact, I had to e-mail them to update my address while I was writing this review and they responded instantly).
I like their fast response times but I don’t like the fact that they don’t offer live phone support. The good news is that if you have an account at Carbon, you can get in touch with their support team via Live Chat.
